Book Review: Mama Bear Apologetics

This is a guest review by Jill Brown.

In today’s world, Christian parents have to be diligent in teaching the next generation how to fight for the faith. We need to know why we believe what we believe and be swift against errors. This mom-written book breaks down cultural acceptances and how the hidden lies in them can affect our understanding of biblical truth. We need to know how to take on these issues with critical thinking and “Mama Bear Apologetics” edited by Hillary Morgan Ferrer is just that. She offers biblical strategies and discussions throughout the book with memory hacks like PAWS for prayer and the chew and spit method, that will help you and your child learn easily with fun ways to retain the information.

This book is much needed for the electronic world  we live in today. Our children are being exposed to things at a younger age and dealing with serious topics earlier than ever before because of social media and television. They need a strong foundation in their comprehension of the Bible and be equipped to battle topics they’re exposed to. I would definitely recommend this book to Christian moms with children of all ages. Her strategies in each chapter help to train parents and children alike to be exercised biblical thinkers living in the age of information promoting spiritual growth that is able to stand firm in the faith with wisdom and humility.

  1. Thank you so much for the review! I am glad you found it useful. I pray we can raise up more Mama Bears to prepare their children to interact graciously but firmly in a secular world. Blessings!
